National
National dance refers to traditional dances that are closely tied to the culture, history, and identity of a specific country or region. These dances are often passed down through generations and are performed at festivals, celebrations, and cultural events. Each national dance reflects the customs, values, music, and costumes of its country—for example, the Flamenco from Spain, the Irish Jig from Ireland, or Morris Dancing from England. Taking National dance allows our students to explore and celebrate the unique style, steps & patterns from the countries we study . National dance is the most social of our classes at LDS, often working in partners, or large groups, to perform unique choreography from around the world.
