Kate Imrie

Kate Imrie, a graduate of Queen’s University, has taken numerous continuing education courses through Fleming and Durham College, being a firm believer in life-long learning. Working with former owner Stephanie Mackey, Kate worked alongside Stephanie for most of her 35 years of ownership. It was Kate’s honour and pleasure to do so.

Now beginning a new era of ownership, Kate continues to work alongside Alana in the administrative aspects of the business and furthering the growth of the Studio. Managing Showtime, our annual recital at the Academy Theatre, is Kate’s forte and every year, she strives to refine its smooth operation. Behind the scenes (literally!) Kate also assists with Triple Threat Theatre.

Having served as a volunteer with Lindsay Minor Hockey, Lindsay Girl’s Softball, Pope John Paul School Council, Kawartha Lakes Summer Playhouse and the Academy Theatre, Kate appreciates and values volunteerism and the vital role it plays in any organization’s success.

She and her husband Ken are grateful for the many people and organizations who worked hard to give so many opportunities to their children and grandchildren and thousands of others.
