B.A.T.D. SOBHD Adjudicator
Travelling provincially for highland dancing competitions. Entering Premier at age 12 she began travelling internationally for championships and events. Her competitive career spanned 17 years. Some competitive highlights include winning the British Overseas Championship, and placing in the top 6 at the North – American Championships and Ontario Provincial Championships consistently. After college graduation, she moved to Toronto and began evening classes at the National Ballet. The following year she completed the Dance Performance Program at George Brown College developing knowledge in other styles of dancing. Lindsay was selected to represent Canada in 4 international shows on an International dancing team. She has performed at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Queens Jubilee 2012, 2014, and the Basel Tattoo in Switzerland 2013, 2016. Additional shows she has performed at include: British Isles show, Governors Ball, Diversity events, and the Scotland Tattoo at the Sony Centre. She continues to develop her own repertoire for local events and concerts.
Lindsay received highly commended in the associates, members, and fellowship level with the British Association Teaches of Dancing ( BATD) and is a dancing judge for competitions on the Scottish Official Board. Lindsay is very active in the dance community travelling to competitions, dance workshops, step lectures, and members meetings weekly. Lindsay also volunteers her time as the chairperson for the I.T board of ScotDance Canada and is a member on the board for educational and marketing development of highland dance in Canada. Her students have been nominated yearly for the Sadie Simpson BATD scholarships and she has trained qualifiers for the Canadian championships.
Lindsay currently resides in Oshawa and enjoys sharing her passion of highland dancing as her full-time career.
